Register for the opportunity to go head-to-head with your fellow Bobcats in the first Homecoming e-sport tournament! Participants will play one-on-one in Rocket League or NBA2K20 (PS4 and Xbox) with alumni and students battling it out in the finals. Will you be our first e-sport winner? Space is limited!

What is E-Sports?
Esports is short for ‘electronic sports’ and is essentially any video game that is played in a competitive setting. Just like with traditional sports, some esports are team-oriented while others can be played solo in either a one-on-one or free-for-all format.

What is Rocket League?
Rocket League, equips players with booster-rigged vehicles that can be crashed into balls for incredible goals or epic saves across multiple, highly-detailed arenas. Using an advanced physics system to simulate realistic interactions, Rocket League relies on mass and momentum to give players a complete sense of intuitive control in this unbelievable, high-octane re-imagining of association football. 

What is NBA 2K20?
NBA 2K20 is a basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports, based on the National Basketball Association (NBA). 

How much experience do I need to participate?
There is no experience necessary to participate and compete in any of these tournaments. However, to participate in the tournament, you will need access to the game and console required.

How much does it cost to participate? What do I need to be able to participate?
Participation is free! You will need access to the game, console, and online service necessary for the tournament you are interested in. 

Can I compete in multiple tournaments?
We ask that each participant competes in one game and tournament. We ask that you be flexible if your opponent has a certain time restriction or commitment that needs to be worked around. 

What kind of communication can I expect surrounding this tournament?
The staff will be primarily communicating with participants through email and the Recreation & Athletics Discord Server. Initial emails leading up to the tournament will be coordinating schedules and communicating any additional information, including information about the finalized rules and format. Throughout the week of Homecoming, you can expect at least an email a day if you are still in the tournament.
